Hey mum,
Can't remember if I already told you, but Amy Barsby has died. She was killed in a gliding accident. Please look after her. I'm sure you will but thought I would check. She is only my age, it's so young her parents must be devastated.
Her fella was there when it happened, what a horrible experience. Apparently the wings fell off the glider she was flying, bit weird but I guess it's one of this things. I feel terrible about it, like it could happen to anyone I know. Makes me think I should stop taking people for granted. Maybe I should make the first move to be friends with Kat, not that she cares.....
Anyhow, just makes me miss you more. Wanted to talk to you about it and tell you how sad it all makes me feel. I know you would have wanted to give me a big hug too.
Other than that, everything is just fine. Saw dad today, he's quite down and struggling a bit, just bumped into him in town, gran and grandad are ill too, they are really not doing very well. James summed it up by pointing out how much they have aged since you died, it's true, they seem old now.
